Jyotika opens up about working with Mammootty in Kaathal The Core, says ‘There’s something very special about him’

Mammootty, the megastar of Malayalam cinema is teaming up with The Great Indian Kitchen director Jeo Baby for his next outing, Kaathal: The Core. The highly anticipated project, which is touted to be an out-and-out family drama, features celebrated actress Jyotika as the female lead. Kaathal: The Core. which has created a stir on social media with its promising trailer is set to hit the big screens today.

Jyotika opens up about working with Mammootty in Kaathal: The Core

For the uninitiated, Mammootty, director Jeo Baby, and the team have been busy promoting their ambitious project, from the last few days. Jyotika, the leading lady of Kaathal: The Core, joined the team for the promotional events of the movie which was held in Kochi recently. The popular actress, who is thrilled to make a comeback to Malayalam cinema with the Mammootty starrer, opened up about working with the megastar, during one of the events.

Jyotika stated that she is so proud to be associating with Mammootty and his production banner Mammootty Kampany for Kaathal: The Core. The actress, who opened up about working with the megastar in the movie, stated that ‘There’s something very special about him’ even though she has worked with several heroes in the past. Jyotika feels that Mammootty is different because he is ready to experiment and do different types of films, even at this stage of his career.

She added that any actor of Mammootty’s stature would be very relaxed when it comes to their career. Jyotika feels that the megastar is a ‘true hero’ as he never stopped experimenting and doing meaningful cinema, even after achieving so much in his career.

Jyotika heaps praise on Kannur Squad

The Kaakha Kaakha actress, who also praised Mammootty’s producer banner Mammootty Kampany, and the films produced by them, revealed that she watched the blockbuster crime drama Kannur Squad, last week. Jyotika, who totally loved the Roby Varghese Raj directorial, heaped praise on the movie and added that what kind of films the banner is making is just outstanding.

About Kaathal: The Core

Mammootty is playing a smalltown politician named Mathew Devassy, who is caught between his wife Omana’s demand for divorce, and political ambitions. Jyotika is playing the role of Omana in the Jeo Baby directorial, which features Joji John, Jisshu Sengupta, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni, Anagha Maya Ravi, Alex Alister, and others in supporting roles.
