Jurassic World: Rebirth's first look dropped yesterday and fans have been busy dissecting it to the last stand of grass till they find something hidden.
Jurassic World Rebirth New Look Revealed
No matter how many superheroes fly, celestial beings land on Earth, or assassins kill as many people as they can, the hunger in the audience for monster dramas is not going anywhere. One of the top contenders in that genre is, of course, the dinosaur. The giant creature that eats humans for breakfast has kept us hooked for decades now in cinema, and there is no way you won’t be excited for the next dino film, no matter your age. So now, when Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali enter a jungle full of dinosaurs, making their debut in this world with Jurassic World: Rebirth they obviously have massive attention their way—and a huge responsibility. Taking the Jurassic World baton from Chris Pratt, the makers have now shared a new look featuring Scarlett Johansson, and you must not miss it.
Anchored by iconic action superstar Scarlett Johansson, breakthrough talent Jonathan Bailey, and two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, Jurassic World: Rebirth witnesses an intrepid team racing to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea, and air. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) from a script by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, the film is set five years after the events of the fifth film in the franchise, Jurassic World: Dominion. So here’s when you should expect the trailer of the movie and also details about the first look.
Talking about Scarlett Johansson’s character Zora, Jurassic World: Rebirth director Gareth Edwards said, “She’s looking for meaning in her life after leaving the military. And this opportunity comes along where [after it] basically she’d never have to work again. But through that journey, she starts to question the ethical rights and wrongs of what they’re doing.”
Jurassic World: Rebirth is set to hit the big screens across the globe on July 2, 2025. Considering how massive the franchise is, we should have gotten at least a teaser for the film by now. But it turns out the history of the franchise suggests that the makers only choose massive holiday dates to announce and reveal the trailers. It has been either Thanksgiving or, most often, the Super Bowl. Considering the principal photography of the movie ended in September 2024, the biggest chances of getting a trailer are at the Super Bowl 2025.
The official synopsis for Jurassic World: Rebirth reads: Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades.
The cast, alongside Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, also includes Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs. Lopez) as Reuben’s family. The film also features Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool) as members of Zora and Krebs’ crews.
Jurassic World: Rebirth will hit the big screen on July 2, 2025. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
