Jurassic World Dominion Box Office Collection Day 1: Chris Pratt's action adventure has a decent opening in India

Jurassic World Dominion released around the globe yesterday, and it hit theatres across India as well on Friday. The movie was expected to have a decent start to life in India considering the fanbase for the Jurassic Park franchise. As the first reports about the movie’s first day collection comes in, Jurassic World Dominion seems to have had a good start in the country.

According to Box Office India, the movie’s early estimates say that it could put up Rs. 8 crore nett plus after what is reported to be a successful first day. The movie also had paid preview shows on Thursday which took place following 4PM. The preview collection is looking to be around Rs. 3.75 crore nett plus.

The reported Rs. 8 crore nett collection would be enough to make Jurassic World Dominion the best opener in the country among other movies from the Jurassic World trilogy. The numbers are also expected to be impressive for Saturday and Sunday, as the movie could attract families.

As reported by Deadline, Jurassic World Dominion has had a $55.5M opening day in North America and is projected to make $132.5M after the first three days. Other reports also suggest that the movie has had a good start to life at the international box office, including a $15 Million opening in China.

“The nostalgia kicks in on so many levels, but only to remind you that, with limited technology in comparison, a better film was created about three decades ago.” reads the movie’s review on OTTplay.

The movie stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda and is now available in theatres near you.
