The tale of Lisey Landon is going to be brought to life by Pablo Larraine for Apple TV+ this June. Based on Stephen King’s thriller novel, Lisey’s Story stars Julianne Moore as the eponymous character. The trailer for the miniseries, which was released on May 12, features the actor struggling to adjust to the life of a widow.

The trailer features Lisey handling her novelist husband’s vast literary estate, while trying to avoid questions about his future works. She also analyses some secrets of their marriage that unsettle her. “Was it real or was it my imagination?” she asks herself, trying to put the pieces of her marriage together. In the midst of this, she also faces threats from a mysterious man named Jim Dooley, who is played by Dane DeHaan.

Stephen King, who worked as an executive producer on Lisey's Story with J.J. Abrams, also wrote every episode in the eight-part adaptation, which also stars Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Ron Cephas Jones alongside Moore and Owen.

Describing King’s involvement in the project to Collider, DeHann said, “It’s been really great. He’s on set a lot. He’s very into what we’re doing and the experience. It’s also fun to help, to sometimes craft it with him. He’s writing extra things. Pablo Larraín, the director, has a very clear vision, and there’s a real collaboration going on that wouldn’t be possible, otherwise.”,

New episodes of Lisey’s Story will premiere weekly on Apple TV+ from June 4.
