Produced by Vikram Malhotra under Abundantia Entertainment and co-created by acclaimed director Tanuja Chandra, Hush Hush has a all-female cast and crew
The much awaited multi-starrer web series titled Hush Hush is all set to release on September 22 on Prime Video. Produced by Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment, the drama-thriller marks the digital debut of Juhi Chawla and Ayesha Jhulka.
The show also starring - Soha Ali Khan Pataudi, Kritika Kamra, Shahana Goswami, and Karishma Tanna in the lead.
The story of Hush Hush revolves around six women who are coming from privileged backgrounds and living picture-perfect life on the surface but an incident changes everything and with each episode, the narrative reveals how they are struggling with multiple issues of trust, betrayal, patriarchy and more.
The show is written by Juhi Chaturvedi, it is co-created by Tanuja Chandra. Two episodes in this season are directed by Kopal Naithani and Tanuja double-hats as director and executive producer. Additionally, the story has been written by Shikhaa Sharma who is also one of the Executive Producers of the series.
While the show is designed, and made by an all-female cast and crew, Aparna Purohit, Head of India Originals, Prime Video explained the reason behind championing the cause of female-forward stories.
"Women are 50% of the population, yet stories told by them and from their perspective are far and few in between," said Aparna Purohit.

She also mentioned that on an OTT platform like Prime Video, they are committed to giving a global platform to diverse, authentic and relatable female stories to the audience. She believes that with a show like Hush Hush, they are taking their commitment to female-forward narratives a step further.
"Hush Hush is an emotional and intriguing story with nuanced, flawed and complex women who light up the screen. We are thrilled to join hands with Abundantia Entertainment once again to create a story that amplifies female voices in both, reel and real life!" Aparna further added.
Abundantia Entertainment had a long association with Prime Video as three of their successful female-led projects - Sherni, Shakuntala Devi and Jalsa have been released on Prime Video.
Being a mind who is always encouraging to bring more diverse female-led stories under his production house, Vikram Malhotra said, "Abundantia Entertainment is all about engaging, impactful, meaningful and entertaining story-telling."
In pursuing their philosophy of bringing disruptive content to the audience, he said that he feels proud to champion female-first narratives. He describes such stories as "stories of and around powerful women, told by equally powerful voices."
"I am confident that Hush Hush will set a new benchmark in amplifying female voices, especially in the portrayal of strong characters set in a world around us", he added.
