Varun Dhawan is one of the bankable actors in Bollywood today. The actor has offered several hit films like Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya and others. His latest flick, JugJugg Jeeyo with Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor too is doing well at the box office. It became one of the biggest openers of this year.
Varun Dhawan recently spoke with Pinkvilla about his performance in the Raj Mehta directorial and also revealed some details about his next projects. He mentioned how challenging it was for him to shoot the fighting sequence in his film with co-star Kiara Advani. In discussing the scenario, the actor stated that he and Kiara had a few disagreements before the scenes because they were not seeing any common ground.
Later, Varun revealed how the film's director, Raj Mehta, would weigh in, and that they had been doing quite a lot of reading for the scenario even when they were well ready for it.
The Badlapur actor went on to say that he did not anticipate the audience to chuckle through some of the more emotional scenes. Explaining on the same, he said, "Kisi aur ka problem aapko hamesha funny lagega (You will always find someone else's problem funny)." Afterwards, the actor gave the interviewer an example of how a person in his gym went through a similar circumstance to the character Varun is performing in his film.
The actor also commented on the ongoing debate over his film Jugjugg Jeeyo being accused of plagiarism. The actor mentioned how he would support whoever is correct, but he still believes his directors.
He also added that as an artist, he will never endorse such things. He also wants to understand why certain things occur so close to the film's premiere, claiming that "it has become a big trend nowadays within the Hindi film festival industry." As per his preferences, Dharma Production and Viacom Studios would try to make sure that the current things do not occur in the future.
By the end of the interview, the actor had also mentioned that he would want to make some action films, since he has two or three plans in the pipeline. Varun went on to discuss the recently announced flicks Bhediya and Bawal.
Speaking about Bhediya he said that he or anybody has never portrayed such an extraordinary character before calling it a "once in a lifetime opportunity”. Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Banerjee will also appear in Bhediya. He also discussed his second upcoming film, Bawal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and how wonderful and fantastic the experience has been on the sets.
