Imran Zahid and Shruti Sodhi feature in the new romantic number, sung by Jubin Nautiyal
Inspired by the life of Delhi-based IAS officer Govind Jaiswal, Kamal Chandra-directed upcoming film Ab Dilli Dur Nahin promises to be an intriguing social drama based on true events. Days after the trailer of the movie - starring stage and screen actor Imran Zahid and Shruti Sodhi was out, the makers have now released a heart-stirring romantic track - Mehsoos Hua - sung by Jubin Nautiyal.
Scheduled to hit the theatres on May 12, the storyline is based on the life of a simple village boy from Bihar, who manages to crack the IAS exam. Written by Dinesh Gautam, the plot chronicles the success and challenges in his life. The movie is produced by Vinay Bhardwaj and Sanjay Mawar, under the banner of Shining Sun Studios.
Sharing the story behind how Jubin - who is known for lending his soulful voice to popular tracks like Raataan Lambiyan The Humma Song, Tum Hi Aana and Manike - came on board, Imran said, “We felt that Jubin’s voice is the most suitable for this song. Although he was travelling and busy at the moment, after hearing the track and the story, he agreed to come on board for this song.”
According to music director Ajay Singha, the idea was to create a soulful tune that could connect with everyone. “I am sure the movie will connect with everyone, especially aspiring students.”
Speaking about his experience of working in the movie, Imran said, “It’s not Govind Jaiswal’s biopic, but inspired from his life. We were looking for a relevant subject that would give out a strong message to the audience, because I believe cinema is the mirror of our society. So, we wanted to create something meaningful and from there the idea of making a motivational film for today’s youth came into existence.”
