Jubilee character teaser: Sidhant Gupta's Jay Khanna is a refugee turned aspiring filmmaker

The Vikramaditya Motwane-directed and created series also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Ram Kapoor and Wamiqa Gabbi.

Jubilee is the upcoming star-studded period drama series on Prime Video. Sidhant Gupta is one of the pivotal actors in the show, which is directed and created by Vikramaditya Motwane. The makers have dropped yet another promo video that introduces the actor's character a dreamer, who aspired to make films.

The latest character teaser begins with Sidhant as Jay Khanna, who has arrived on a huge ship to India and landed in a refugee camp along with thousands of people. When a man asks him if he would like to work, the latter replies that he only knows how to do drama.

He further unveils that he aspires to create a film and lands in the Bombay film industry. When someone asks him how will he survive if he loses everything after making a film, the aspiring filmmaker replies that he will become even poorer than he is currently.

Ram Kapoor enters the montage as a film producer, who offers him a huge sum of money in return for roping Madan Kumar, the highly demanded star of Bollywood, in his first film.

The makers dropped the latest promo video with a special caption that reads, "Dreams push you to do things which may not make sense to others, but Jay Khanna illustrates how to own your truth and pave your way (Sic)."

Last week, the makers unveiled the character of Aditi Rao Hydari in on of the promo videos and introduced her as 'the walking definition of elegance, and the most mesmerising superstar with immaculate business brains.'

The forthcoming period drama series also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Ram Kapoor and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles.

Jubilee is all set to release on 7 April on Prime Video with the first part, while the second instalment will stream on the OTT giant on April 14.
