A young student was reportedly killed at the Main Hostel of the university,
West Bengal politics is agitated over the death of the JU student. The campus is heated, and several incidents of clashes between different student organisations are in the news. Amidst all these, ex-student and actress Ushasie Chakraborty reacted to the issue. The actress, who is an alumnus of JU, said, “I never knew that ragging takes place in the main hostel.”
Ushasie recently talked about the student's death in national news media. That channel claimed that ‘Jadavpur is the birthplace of the Maoists movement.’ Ushasie took offense at this claim and said, “You are pretending like no studies are done in Jadavpur University and everyone always stays in the dark. It is not true.”
