Ju Ji-hoon starrer Light Shop has been receiving immense praise from fans.
Light Shop, the mystery horror K-drama has been receiving a lot of love and praise from fans. The plot of the series follows a light shop that is open 24/7 and it is the only shop that makes a dark alley illuminated. For the unversed, Light Shop is an adaptation of the famous author Kang Full’s comic book of the same name. In a new interview, actor Ju Ji-hoon opened up about Kang Full and Light Shop script.
As per Hindustan Times, Ju Ji-hoon who played Jung Won-young, the owner of the light shop opened up about Light Shop and Kang Full. He said that he has been a fan of Kang Full’s work since his school days. He loved Moving and has had the privilege of working with director Kim Hiewon before, back when he was an actor.
"During that time, I had come to appreciate his depth as an artist, and when he called me, saying he had a script for me, I was in. I’ve always trusted Kang Full, and although this was Kim Hiewon’s first time directing, I was sure he would pull it off,” he said.
Speaking about Light Shop, Ji-hoon said that the story was filled with suspense and tension, and the characters were incredibly compelling. "I found myself getting completely immersed and couldn’t wait to read the next episode’s script."
The plot of Light Shop follows the story of a group of strangers who are having a hard time processing a horrific experience from their past. Each of them is living their normal lives when they are all strangely drawn to a light shop located at the end of a suspicious alley.
The finale episodes will be released on December 18 on Disney+ Hotstar. The cast also features Park Bo Young (Strong Girl Bong Soon), Um Tae Goo (My Sweet Mobster), Shin Eun Soo (Twinkling Watermelon), Seol Hyun (Summer Strike), and Kim Min Ha (Pachinko).
