The RRR actor was speaking at a promotional event for Brahmastra in Hyderabad.
All eyes are on Brahmastra now to see whether Ayan Mukerji’s magnum opus will be able to lift Bollywood out of the box office slump it has found itself in lately. Many celebrities have opened up about the same, giving their two cents about why they think the issue arose and what the industry should do better. Recently, Jr NTR spoke of how challenging times can actually be beneficial for the film industry, which it can use as a learning opportunity.
During a promotional event for Brahmastra held in Hyderabad, as reported by Pinkvilla, Tarak said that a bit of pressure may prove beneficial for the industry, as it gives it the push needed to perform better. The pressure simply meant that audiences wanted something more from the industry, and the industry should strive to deliver that to them. Saying that his words were not meant to ‘bring anyone down’, Tarak said “The industry in total needs to accept this challenge and make good, better films for the audience”.
Wishing Brahmastra the best of luck, the Tollywood star said that he hoped the Ayan Mukerji directorial did indeed turn out to be the ‘Brahmastra’ of the Indian film industry. The actor also showered praise on Karan Johar and RRR helmer SS Rajamouli for their efforts in trying to bridge the gap between the Bollywood and South Indian film industries.
Meanwhile, Brahmastra is gearing up to make its way onto the big screen on September 9.
