War 2: Jr NTR reveals Ayan Mukerji loves 'prep' work; says 'I am completely the opposite' | Here's why

Jr NTR has opened up about working with filmmaker Ayan Mukerji for War 2 co-starring Hrithik Roshan. The South star revealed how his working style ideology, in a way, conflicted with Ayan's.

Jr NTR is presently gearing up for the release of his film, Devara: Part 1. The South star recently sat down for a chat with Karan Johar and actress Alia Bhatt. During this conversation, the trio discussed Devara: Part 1, Jigra, and many topics regarding the movie business. In this discussion, Jr NTR revealed how South filmmakers don't rely much on prep while his War 2 director Ayan Mukerji loves the prep work.

The Devara actor shared that South filmmakers do not focus much on prep work during the pre-production and he follows the same ideology. Jr NTR feels too much preparation doesn't give a person the chance to explore himself/herself. The actor noted that South Indian films have always been 'chaotically organized'.

"You are shooting for a crazy sequence tomorrow, but everybody is so chill, we are not prepping at all. We know what needs to be done. I think it is the chaos which brings a great amount of organisation and somewhere that makes us more instinctive as artistes," shared NTR. However, he had a different experience while working with Ayan on War 2.

Jr NTR recalled when he was shooting for War 2, the filmmaker didn't know what was going to come. He shared that Ayan was trying to bring something out of the actor. "But I told him, 'Ayan I am very instinctive, kuch na kuch aa jayega (something will come).' Now, he is not used to do this at all, he loves prep and I am completely the opposite," he added.

Meanwhile, War 2's shoot is currently on in Italy. Hrithik Roshan is filming the movie with his co-star Kiara Advani in an exotic foreign location. Hrithik recently shared a BTS photo from War 2's shoot. Backed by Yash Raj Films, the movie is a sequel to the 2019 film War. It was helmed by Siddharth Anand while the sequel is being directed by Ayan Mukerji.
