Jongole Mitin Mashi will be released during Durga Puja. Directed by Arindam Sil, the film features Koel as Mitin Mashi. The team started promoting their film two months before the Puja. The promo took place among the animals.

This is the second film from the Mitin Mashi Franchise. The new story centres around wildlife conservation. Koel launched the film's poster by feeding cakes to the elephants in the zoo on August 12, World Elephant’s Day. The actress was excited to come to the zoo for the first time after her childhood. “I feel marvelous,” she said adding that her husband Nispal Singh Rane came to the zoo with their son Kabir.

Koel said, “No day could have been better for the poster release. I am having a new feeling after shooting in the forest. The film will be released during Durga Puja, which is another good thing. People are excited to watch Bengali films during Durga Puja.”

On this special day, Arindam Sil wore a white shirt on a polo tee shirt, which had pictures of different colors of elephants. Arindam said, “A serious message can be conveyed to the audience easily through a medium like cinema. We tried to give such a message through this film.”

This Durga Puja, a number of films, including Srijit Mukherji's Dawsham Awbotar, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy's Raktabeej and Dev's Bagha Jatin, will hit the theatres.
