Samrat Prithviraj, which also stars Manushi Chhillar and Sonu Sood, is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of Samrat Prithviraj. The upcoming film will mark the completion of Kumar’s three-decade long stint in the industry. Through the course of his career, where he has done well over 100 films, the actor has collaborated with a plethora of directors, including Subhash Kapoor. Kapoor and Kumar collaborated on the 2017 film Jolly LLB 2, and the director recently opened up about Kumar’s commitment to his craft.
In a statement, the filmmaker talked about how a lot of people were already familiar with Kumar’s ‘discipline’ in life. But something that stands out about the actor among the people who worked with him is Kumar’s ‘commitment’, ‘involvement’ and ‘dedication’ to a project he has taken on. Kapoor talked about how he is able to observe these traits in Kumar, having worked with the actor in ‘close quarters’ in the past.
Kapoor went on to say that those elements are what he considered to be Kumar’s ‘legacy’, which he would leave behind for hundreds of people to come. “Those who want to come and make acting a profession. They can learn a lot from that legacy, the commitment that he has displayed with every project that he does,” said Kapoor. The filmmaker also wished the actor well for another great 30 years in the industry.
Kumar will next be seen in Samrat Prithviraj, which also stars Manushi Chhillar, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar. The film, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, will be released in theatres on June 3, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
