John Abraham mourns the untimely death of Dhoom director Sanjay Gadhvi: May the angels always ride with you

After the sudden demise of the Dhoom director Sanjay Gadhvi, Bollywood celebrities including John Abraham expressed their condolences on social media

Today morning everyone woke up to the sad and shocking news of the untimely passing away of director Sanjay Gadhvi, the man who had directed the first two films of the ‘Dhoom’ series (Dhoom and Dhoom 2). After Abhishek Bachchan offered his condolences to the late film maker, John Abraham too took to social media and offered his heartfelt condolences.

John Abraham, after posting a smiling photograph of Sanjay Gadhvi, captioned the post stating, “Remember the times I spent with you on the film closest to my heart #Dhoom. May the angels always ride with you. Rest in peace Sanjay Gadhvi”. Readers may recall that; John Abraham had acted in Sanjay Gadhvi’s film ‘Dhoom’. His role of the smooth operator Kabir Sharma in the film ‘Dhoom’, till date, is considered one of the best roles of the actor. For the unversed, the film ‘Dhoom’ saw John Abraham in the role of Kabir Sharma, who was an unassuming staff at a pizza outlet. But it was the same Kabir Sharma, who turns out to be the mastermind behind many crimes in the city.

Earlier today, Abhishek Bachchan had also expressed his deepest condolences for Sanjay Gadhvi. Taking to social media, Abhishek Bachchan had written, “"I took this photo of Sanjay whilst we were filming the climax of Dhoom 2 in South Africa. We made two films together: Dhoom and Dhoom 2. Sanju, when I spoke to you last week and we were reminiscing about our shoots and memories, I would never have imagined, even in my craziest dreams, that I would have to write a post like this. (sic)". Abhishek Bachchan had even posted a photograph which was clocked on the sets of the film ‘Dhoom’.

Abhishek Bachchan also added that he was shocked beyond belief and that he (Sanjay) had faith in me even when he didn’t. The actor added that it was Sanjay Gadhvi who had given him his first ever hit and that he could never forget that or be able to express what it meant to him. Abhishek Bachchan also added that he would cherish his friendship always.
