Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina's upcoming project Jigra is one of the most awaited films of 2024. Ever since the Vasan Bala directorial was announced, cinema lovers have been looking forward to watching it on the big screen. After teasing the audience with the teaser trailer, the makers of Jigra on September 26 unveiled the highly anticipated theatrical trailer on social media. Alia and Vedang, who will be seen playing on-screen siblings, have left netizens impressed and how. Vedang's rumored ladylove Khushi Kapoor and her sister Janhvi Kapoor too can't stop gushing over him and the trailer.

Team Jigra unveils theatrical trailer

A while ago, Alia took to Instagram and shared the kickass trailer of Jigra. While sharing the video, she wrote, "All set? #JIGRA THEATRICAL TRAILER OUT NOW! Link in bio🔗See you in cinemas, 11th October." Soon after she launched the trailer, in no time, it received massive reactions from netizens and celebs. Have a look:

Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor can't stop gushing

Khushi, who made her acting debut alongside Vedang in The Archies, took to her Instagram story and reshared the trailer from Vedang's profile. Along with it, she put teary-eyed and white heart emojis. On the other hand, Janhvi heaped praises on Alia and Vedang for their impressive performances. She too shared the trailer from Vedang's handle and wrote, "@vedangraina my hearts going to you in the trailer only in the film idk what condition we'll be in. @aliabhatt lady bachchan i can't wait for this. Even Ananya Panday, who is currently enjoying the glorious success of her series, Call Me Bae, was all praise for Alia and the team. She commented on Alia's post, "INSANE" while Neha Dhupia wrote, "Incredible". Alia's moms Soni Razdan and Neetu Kapoor were also seen cheering for her. Soni wrote, "Outstanding" and Neetu's comment read, "Goosebumps and impactful". Fans were also seen dropping fire and red heart emojis while expressing their excitement to watch the film.

More about Jigra

Alia and Vedang have collaborated for the first time on a movie. Recently, in a chat with Karan Johar and Jr NTR, Alia shared her experience of working with Vedang. Interestingly, she revealed that he reminded her a lot of Ranveer Singh. She said, "He is so hardworking. He is also very instinctive but also has some sort of prep. He reminded me a lot of Ranveer Singh and I told him this as well. Just the way he is and his dedication. I think it is a huge compliment. The dedication and focus to the moment and the shot. Of course, he is his own person."

In the movie, Vedang has sung the reprised version of Phoolon Ka Taron Ka. The makers gave a tease in the teaser and netizens have already become fans of his soothing voice. Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra will hit the big screen on October 11, 2024.
