According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina's film saw impressive growth on its first Saturday. Jigra minted Rs 6.50 crore on day two at the ticket window. Considering it, the total collection of Vasan Bala directorial now stands at Rs 11.05 crore. That said, it is yet to be seen how Jigra fares on its first day and what the first-weekend collection will be like.

In Jigra, Alia plays Satya, while Vedang is seen as Ankur. The story follows Satya's life as she goes to extreme lengths to save her brother, who is imprisoned and tortured in jail. What happens next is something that lies in the movie's storyline.

Alia Bhatt's reaction to Jigra's story

Meanwhile, in an interview with Tried&Refused Productions, Alia Bhatt revealed her initial reaction to Jigra's story. "I responded when I heard the first half. I was like, 'Wow'. I wasn't expecting it, I guess because he didn't reveal much in the meeting. But even I was very intrigued, and I really liked his work. I was like, ‘It will be cool for us to collaborate, but I need to read the script’," said Bhatt.

Where to watch Jigra on OTT?

Once Jigra's theatrical run ends, the Vasan Bala directorial will have its digital premiere. The movie will drop on Netflix, which is the film's streaming partner. Jigra might premiere on the OTT platform after 45 to 60 days of its theatrical release.
