The film is the second installment to Karthik Subbaraj’s Jigarthanda, that originally starred Siddharth and Bobby Simha
Jigarthanda DoubleX, the second installment of Karthik Subbaraj’s hit action comedy Jigarthanda, is gearing up for a release this Diwali season. Raghava Lawrence, who was last seen in Chandramukhi 2, and SJ Suryah play pivotal roles in the film produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Kathiresan under Stone Bench Films.
Given the credibility of the director and actors, the Telugu distribution rights were sold for a good sum. Suresh Productions and the Asian Cinemas group, which have jointly released many dubbed films this year, have acquired the distribution rights of the film’s Telugu version in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The leading production houses enjoy a long-lasting legacy in the distribution arena, and Jigarthanda Double X is expected to have a grand release in Telugu.
