The film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, stars SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence in the lead
The much-awaited trailer of SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence's upcoming film, Jigarthanda Double X has finally dropped. While the Tamil trailer was launched by Anirudh Ravichander, the Telugu trailer was dropped by Thaman.
The film, helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, is all set to drop in theatres on November 10 and fans of the franchise are excited to see the new project. Jigarthanda Double X is considered a spiritual successor to the 2014 film and is not the sequel to the action entertainer, which starred Bobby Simha, Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon.
All about the trailer
The plot is set in 1975 and Raghava Lawrence is all set to be cast as the first dark-complexioned hero in Tamil cinema. The film, titled Pandyaa, is directed by SJ Suryah's character. As the film's shooting begins, a bunch of gangsters are trying to take Raghava Lawrence's character down.

The ace director wrote on his social media handle last evening, "Lights. Camera. Action! The TRAILER of #JigarthandaDoubleX is arriving tomorrow. Get ready for a blast #DoubleXDiwali in theatres, from November 10th (sic)!"

Team wraps up the DI
With just a few days to go for the release, cinematographer Thirunavukkarasu dropped the latest update on the film. "Just wrapped up the DI for #JigarthandaDoubleX, and we're gearing up for the grand release on November 10th. Thanks to the hardworking assistant DOPs, assistant directors, and the talented CG team. Get ready for an epic cinematic experience with #JigarthandaDoubleX (sic)!
The cast and crew
The film stars an ensemble cast comprising Nimisha Sajayan, Shine Tom Chacko, Sathyan, Aravind Akash, Ilavarasu and Bava Chelladurai. While the music for the film is by Santhosh Narayanan, editing is by Shafique Mohamed Ali. Jigarthanda Double X is bankrolled by Stone Bench Films, Five Star Creations and Invenio Origin. The film will lock horns with Karthi's Japan and Vikram Prabhu's Raid and will hit screens on November 10.
