Jennifer Garner will headline the Apple TV+ limited series The Last Thing He Told Me, based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name by Laura Dave. The series comes from Reese Witherspoon's production house Hello Sunshine.

Julie Roberts was originally set to star in the series, but had to exit over scheduling issues.

Dave has co-created the show along with Oscar winner Josh Singer that will follow a woman who forms an unexpected relationship with her teenage step-daughter while searching for the reason behind her husband's mysterious disappearance, according to Deadline.

Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter are executive producers for Hello Sunshine, along with Garner, and Dave and Singer. More details about the show, including additional cast are yet to be announced.

Deadline writes that The Last Thing He Told Me is the second project for Apple TV+ that Garner is leading and executive producing after My Glory Was I Had Such Friends, an adaptation of Amy Silverstein's memoir.

Garner was last seen in Netflix film Yes Day with Edgar Ramirez. Her upcoming projects include The Adam Project alongside Ryan Reynolds, Zoe Saldana and Mark Ruffalo. She will also star and produce in a comedy titled Family Leave for Netflix.
