Directed by Angshuman Pratyush, the film will be shot in London
Tollywood is getting its new pair. Jeetu Kamal and Srabanti Chattopadhyay will pair up in an upcoming Bengali film, Babu Sona, directed by Angshuman Pratyush.
The film delves into two characters – Babu and Sona – who live in London. They get involved with a child kidnapping case, and their lives take a turn. What happens then? That is the story of the film.
This is an action comedy film. Jeetu, who plays Babu, is a professional kidnapper. However, society sees him as the owner of an IT firm, which he runs as an eyewash. On the other hand, Srabanti, who plays Sona, is a thief. She also does not disclose herself in public. She rather pretends to be a cop. They get involved with each other regarding a child kidnapping case and fall in love with each other.
Eskay Movies’ Ashok and Himangshu Dhanuka are the producers of the film. Alexandra Taylor, Sagnik Chatterjee, Bilas Dey, Atri Bhattacharya, and Buddhadeb Bhattacharya will be seen in that film. The shooting will start in May in London. The director said, “This is a commercial film, packed with action and comedy. I hope Jeetu and Srabanti's couple will be loved by the audience.”
Jeetu will also be seen in the film Apanjan opposite Ritabhari Chakraborty. Srabanti is also busy with her recently shot film in Benares and the future project Devi Chowdhurani.
