The song of the Anshuman Pratyush directorial is sung by Jubin Nautiyal, who is collaborating with Jeet for the sixth time. The commercial entertainer is set to release on October 10.
Jeet and Mimi in a still from the song.
The first romantic song Tor Bhul Bhangabo Ki Kore Bol from Baazi starring Jeet and Mimi Ganguly has dropped today. Popular music composer Jeet Gannguli, who is one of the most bankable composers in the Bengali film industry, has served up another signature romantic track.
Jubin Nautiyal, who has sung quite a few songs in Bengali cinema, including Tor Aashiqui (Aashiqui), Ghum Amar (Rangbaaz), Let’s Dance Kolkata (Dekh Kemon Lage), Bin Tere Sanam (Girlfriend), has lent his voice for the song. The film marks Jubin Nautiyal’s sixth collaboration with Jeet Gannguli.
The song breaks out from a lovers’ tiff between Jeet and Mimi. Jeet serenades his lady love, who is miffed with him and in tears. Love brings its share of misunderstandings, and it's now up to them to set aside their ego and resolve the differences. Set against picturesque locales in the backdrop of a mansion, Jeet sings his way to her heart, which is ‘not a fight to be won, but to win her over.’
This first romantic song of Jeet and Mimi, who are working together for the first time in Baazi will delight their fans alike. ‘My love for you is not untrue, how should I explain it to you?,’ sings Jeet. ‘I need you for everything, no matter what others say,’ goes another line. The song is breezy and quintessential as is Jeet Gannguli's style, and the interlude of the violin works well. This one’s for Jeet and Mimi fans all the way.
Pranjol has penned the lyrics for the song, which has been mixed and mastered by Aditya Dev. Jeet, Gopal Madnani and Amit Jumrani have produced the film along with Sunny Surani. Jayesh Pradhan has choreographed the song.
Directed by Anshuman Pratyush, Baazi promises to be a commercial entertainer about a son’s revenge saga to save his father’s life and get even with the man who took away his father’s wealth. The film is set for a theatrical release on October 10.
