The makers of Mohanlal-starrer Neru have confirmed the release date of the film in digital space. The courtroom drama will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar starting January 23. The film is successfully running in theatres across the state in its fifth week of theatrical release.
Following several box office failures in recent years, the veteran actor makes a strong comeback in this film, which casts him as an advocate after a 13-year hiatus. Cinemagoers are praising the movie due to its captivating storyline and outstanding performances. The film, directed by Jeethu Joseph , is also receiving appreciation for its poignant scenes and well-done dialogue delivery.

Neru, like the majority of recent Malayalam releases, was anticipated to stream on Disney+ Hotstar precisely one month following its theatrical run, according to the makers' announcement. The well-known OTT platform reportedly paid a hefty price to acquire the courtroom drama's OTT rights.
After its theatrical release on December 21, the movie made over Rs 100 crore at the global box office. On social media, the makers expressed their enthusiasm over these figures as well. In addition, they expressed gratitude to the audience and supporters for this success.

Neru, which stars Mohanlal in a performance-focused role after a lengthy hiatus, is the actor’s fourth collaboration with Jeethu Joseph. He plays Advocate Vijayamohan, a senior lawyer who has been away from the legal field for a very long time and suffers from a lack of confidence due to certain personal circumstances.
Anaswara Rajan, Siddique, Priyamani, Jagadish, K B Ganesh Kumar, Sree Dhanya, Kalesh Ramanand, Nandu, Santhi Mayadevi, Krishna Prabha, and Sankar Induchoodan are also playing prominent roles in this courtroom drama.
The soundtracks for the film have been composed by Vishnu Shyam. Satheesh Kurup has helmed the camera work, while Vinayak V S is the editor. Antony Perumbavoor has bankrolled the movie under Aashirvad Cinemas’ banner.
