Farhan Akhtar will be in charge of directing the film.
Fans of Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif have been eagerly awaiting news about Jee Le Zaraa ever since it was first revealed. Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar will write the screenplay for the Farhan Akhtar-directed movie, which will follow the adventures of three women on a road trip.
A few weeks ago, Farhan teased that filming would begin shortly by posting photos from his recce. Recently, Reema promoted her next show, Dahaad on Indian Express, wherein she laughed and revealed that they will start shooting by the end of the year when asked for an update on Jee Le Zaraa. They are thrilled and looking forward to it immensely.
The upcoming season of her web series Made in Heaven is also eagerly anticipated, but not as much as her star-studded feature. The Prime Video series, starring wedding planners Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur, explored many aspects of romantic partnerships and matrimony.
Reema said, "Soon soon," in response to the inquiry about the release date for Made in Heaven Season 2, and in fact, far sooner than one might think.
Returning to Dahaad the missing women's plot revolves around a female cop (Sonakshi Sinha) who is determined to find them. Starring alongside Vijay Varma and co. are Gulshan Devaiah, Sohum Shah, Manyuu Doshi, Yogi Singha, Sanghmitra Hitaishi, Ratnabali Bhattacharjee, Nirmal Chiraniyan, Vijay Kumar Dogra, Abhishek Bhalerao, and Waris Ahmed Zaidi. Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi have directed it.
When it premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, Dahaad made history as the first Indian web series to do so. It will be available on Amazon Prime Video beginning May 12.
Meanwhile, Priyanka, Katrina, and Alia assured fans that Jee Le Zaraa is indeed on and they will kickstart the shoot soon. The film was earlier set for a 2023 release; however, even the shoot has not kicked off.
