'Jayeshbhai Jordaar is not your typical hero', reveals Ranveer Singh ahead of the trailer launch

Ranveer Singh's films, whether they be Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Padmaavat (2018), or Gully Boy (2019), are frequently a marriage of compelling stories with box-office success. The actor's most special offering, though, is the upcoming film, Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

When asked what makes Divyang Thakkar's directorial debut so special, Ranveer stated to Mid Day that it is the "most heartfelt" film in his collection. The actor shared that being a part of Jayeshbhai Jordaar has been a blast since it has challenged him to become a character with no precedent in Hindi cinema. According to him, Jayeshbhai is a hero unlike any other. The character discovers heroism when he is pushed to the limit, and he is one of Hindi cinema's most lovable heroes.

During his 12-year career, Ranveer has played many different types of Hindi film heroes. He made us root for the underdog hero in Gully Boy (2019), where he played the rowdy cop in Simmba (2018). The actor hopes to question the image of a conventional hero in the upcoming social comedy, which also stars Shalini Pandey.

The 83-year-old star said that, hopefully, Jayeshbhai will redefine heroism in cinema, leaving audiences with an essential message delivered as engagingly and funnily as possible. The protagonist is the purest and most truthful person one has encountered in a long time.

The trailer for Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be out today, ahead of the film's May 13 release date. Even while Ranveer is careful not to reveal any plot secrets about the film, he can't stop himself from gushing about how much fun he had playing the unique role in the comedy.

He revealed that his character is quick-witted and has a kind heart. The script is outstanding, and one doesn't come across flicks like this every day. It's a celebration of the human spirit that will energise you from the inside out.

The film is directed by Divyang Thakkar and produced by Maneesh Sharma under Yash Raj Films.
