The film, which is still under discussion, will be produced by the Kannada star, under the banner Supriyanvi Picture Studio.
Kannada superstar Sudeep’s nephew Sanchith is a popular face in film circles. The strapping youngster is often seen at his uncle’s film sets and events and has even co-directed one of Sudeep’s production ventures, Ambi Ning Vayyasayatho.
In earlier conversations with the media, during the promotions of his directorial debut, Sanchith had spoken at length about his deep connect cinema and that filmmaking was his goal. He’d even done a year’s course in filmmaking in New York to hone his skills. But acting is also something that interests Sanchith, and he has been prepping himself for a big-screen debut for a while. And if the latest buzz in industry circles is to be believed, it won’t be long before we see him onscreen.
According to reports, Kiccha Sudeep is set to launch Sanchith soon, under a new production wing called Supriyanvi (Supported by the actor, his wife Priya and daughter Sanvi). And the man who will, in all likelihood, be entrusted with the job of directing Sanchith is Jayathirtha, known for films like Tony, Beautiful Manasugalu and Bell Bottom, among others. There was a buzz way back in 2019 that Jayathirtha was in talks to direct Sanchith.
The filmmaker, who is currently gearing up for the release of his next, Banaras, in which he is launching Zaid Khan, the son of JD(S) legislator Zameer Ahmed Khan, has now confirmed that he is in talks with Sudeep to launch Sanchith in a conversation with an online portal. Jayathirtha has apparently narrated a script, which has been okayed by Sudeep, and pre-production work on the film has already begun, but the director is awaiting a final nod from the Kannada star to officially announce their collaboration. The as-yet-untitled project will have Vikrant Rona maker Manjunath Gowda on board as executive producer.
