Jayasurya's speech on farmers
Jayasurya recently criticised the Kerala government's policies at Karshikolsavam, the agricultural festival. He spoke about the difficulties faced by farmers, citing the example of actor Krishna Prasad, who is on a hunger strike because he has not received his dues from Supplyco.
Jayasurya also said that the younger generation's lack of interest in farming is partly due to the poor condition of farmers in the state. Additionally, he expressed concern over the consumption of poisonous vegetables from other states.
Kerala Agricultural Minister P Prasad and Industrial Minister P Rajeev were present on the stage along with Jayasurya when he gave the speech. After giving the speech, the actor faced criticism and was also attacked on social media. However, Jayasurya has not backed down, standing by what he said.
