Jayaram's daughter, Malavika Jayaram appears in a music video

Actor Jayaram's daughter Malavika Jayaram is all set to make her debut in a music video. The song titled Maayam Seithaai Poovae, will have Malavika teaming up with Ashokselvan. The video is directed by Amith Krishnan of Enjoy Enjaami fame and the music for the video is by Pranav Giridhar.

The song was released this evening and is winning hearts already. The song's music label shared the same on its microblogging page and wrote, "We are never gonna be over this beautiful song ♥️#MaayamSeithaaiPoovae music video is now streaming http://youtu.be/1pmVDBghAmY #ThinkIndie @PranavGiridhar1 Musical @AshokSelvan & #MalavikaJayaram Directed by @amithkrishnan85 ✍️ #manojprabhakar @StudioMoca @gopinath_durai (sic)."

Ashokselvan, who features in the video, too, said on his social media handle that doing a music video was never in his plan. But when Amith Krishnan, who directed the chartbuster Enjoy Enjaami, asked him, he couldn't refuse. He wrote, "Doing a music video was not in my plan but when @amithkrishnan85, the director of “Enjoy Enjaami” , calls you ,I just had to! And I’m happy two talented artists are debuting through this, #MalavikaJayaram and @PranavGiridhar1 #MaayamSeithaiPoovae ❤️https://youtu.be/1pmVDBghAmY (sic)."

It was only a few years ago that Jayaram's son Kalidas Jayaram, too, had made his acting debut in films.His maiden work in Tamil was Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum, written and directed by Amudeshwar. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan had done a cameo appearance in the film. Kalidas later went on to act in Putham Pudhu Kaalai, Paava Kadhaigal and Oru Pakka Kathai.He will also be seen in Kamal Haasan's upcoming action thriller Vikram, which will also feature Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil.

With the entry of Malavika, the entire Jayaram household has faced the arclights. While Jayaram is a well known actor in Tamil and Malayalam, his wife, actress Parvathy Jayaram was one of the leading stars of the '80s in Malayalam.
