Charu Hariharan and Keeravaani have crooned for the number lyricised by Chaitanya Prasad
Television host, anchor Suma is headlining a film titled Jayamma Panchayathi after a long sabbatical. The film, which was to release on April 22, will now hit theatres in the first week of May. Debutant Vijay Kumar Kalivarapu has helmed the film while also writing the story, screenplay and dialogues. Jayamma Panchayathi is produced by Balaga Prakash under Vennela Creations Several leading names from the industry have come forward to promote the film including Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR, Nani.
MM Keeravaani has composed the music for the rural drama. While the film's teaser and trailer have been launched already, a new single, Golusu Kattu Gosalu, was unveiled today. The soul-stirring composition, lyricised by Chaitanya Prasad, is sung by Charu Hariharan and Keeravaani. The song is expected to arrive at a critical juncture in the film where the lead character Jayamma is in a fix and has no hope and nowhere to go to.
'Kalisi Batike Kaalamemaaye, Nede Pagati Vela Peeda Kalalaaye, Alasiponi Aasalemaaye..' the song harps back on the happy memories in the life of the titular character Jayamma and laments at the traumatic situation she has to face now. Chaitanya Prasad's lyrics are always known for its simplicity and precision and his forthrightness without using flowery, verbose language is a delight for a music listener. Charu Hariharan's honesty and vocal depth are the biggest assets of the song while the ever-formidable Keeravaani backs him with his experience.
The song is expected to have a greater impact at the theatres, probably elevated by its situational relevance. Anush Kumar has cinematographed the film while the technical crew also comprises editor Ravi Teja Girijala, art director Dhanu Andhluri and costume designer Hari Priya as well. Jayamma Panchayathi releases on May 6.
