Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s upcoming romantic drama, Kadhalikka Neramillai, which is currently under production is going on in full swing. In a recent interview, actor Jayam Ravi talked about the film’s story and why it's not ‘your regular love story’. The actor revealed that the upcoming romantic drama is set to be based on ‘mature love’.
“Kadhalikka Neramillai is not something I have done before, since it's not the usual boy-meets-girl stories I have done in the past. Rather the film will feature a mature love, and that's not just in terms of age,” the Siren actor revealed.
The popular actor further said that with this movie, Kiruthiga has broken the mould of conventional films, where usually two people meet, fall in love, and then decide whether or not to be together.
On the other hand, Nithya Menen who is playing the female in the film, expressed her joy of working in a ‘relaxed atmosphere'. While stating that actresses in mainstream cinema are subject to a lot of limitations, Nithya said that many such norms are broken in this movie. She remarked that working with Kiruthiga has been a very comfortable experience, and that everyone was cordial and happy on the set.

An ARR musical
As reported earlier, the film’s music is composed by AR Rahman . Expressing her excitement over collaborating with the musical maestro, director Kiruthiga revealed that she was on ‘cloud nine’ about getting her film’s songs composed by the legend. “He is very humble and energetic. He is also ready to take others' suggestions into account,” the director revealed.
The first single of Kaadhalikka Neramillai has been crooned by actor-musician Shruti Haasan. The lyrics have been penned by Snehan.

Director Kiruthuga, who is known for her works such as Vanakkam Chennai and web series Paper Rocket, is back in the director's chair with the upcoming romantic drama Kaadhalikka Neramillai. Besides Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen, the film also stars Vijay Rai, Yogi Babu, Lal, John Kokken, TJ Bhanu, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, and Vinodhini, among others.
