The upcoming film Jawan's video clips were uploaded on social media, and Red Chillies Entertainment, the production company run by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan, has filed a complaint with the Mumbai police. According to a FIR filed at the Santacruz police station on Thursday, the production company learned that some X, formerly Twitter users, had posted video clips from the movie online.
People present at the location were not permitted to use mobile phones while the movie was being shot in order to stop the leak of the shooting videos, according to the FIR. Despite this, someone stole the movie's videos and posted them on social media without the company's consent, according to Red Chillies Entertainment's chief financial officer Pradeep Nimani. Five X handles and the individuals who are said to use them have been identified by the complainant.
There have been other online leaks of Jawan clips before this one. The Delhi High Court commanded social media companies, shady websites, cable TV providers, direct-to-home services, and other platforms to take down the stolen films of Jawan and instructed them to cease sharing them in April of this year as well.
Meanwhile, Jawan is wriiten and directed by Atlee, which also features Riddhi Dogra, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Nayanthara in prominent parts. Additionally, Deepika Padukone will appear in the film in a unique cameo. The movie will release in theaters on September 7, 2023.
