Jawan OTT release date: When and where to watch Shah Rukh Khan-Atlee's blockbuster online

Reports have it that the OTT version of Jawan will have an extended cut.

In just a couple of days, it's Shah Rukh Khan's birthday! This means the much-awaited OTT premiere of Jawan is also on its way. The superstar, on his special day, is treating fans to the Netflix release of his latest blockbuster, nearly two months after its theatrical release. The film is set to be released on November 2 on the OTT giant.

Jawan's theatrical triumph and OTT premiere announcement

Currently, Jawan has been enjoying its theatrical run for more than 50 days. However, Netflix has yet to make the official announcement of the film's release on their platform. Moreover, the extended cut of the Atlee directorial will be out on OTT, much to the excitement of the fans.

Shah Rukh's fan club, SRK Universe, took to their Instagram page and shared the trailer with a caption stating, "Seated for this! Jawan OTT is to be released on Netflix on November 2 with extended cuts."

Atlee discusses the unique approach to OTT version

Earlier, while talking about the OTT version of Jawan Atlee told Pinkvilla, "I think we’ve given the right ration of emotions and the right length to theatrical. For OTT, we are considering a different rhythm for it. So, yeah, of course, we are working on something, so that’s why I didn’t go on my holiday. I’m working on something. Let’s see. Let me surprise you all."

Meanwhile, Jawan ends with the possibility of having a sequel. When asked about the same, the filmmaker told the entertainment portal that this is the final scene in every film he has ever made. Atlee never considered making a follow-up to any of the films. However, he is approaching it with an open mind. Therefore, he will certainly come up with something powerful if the thought occurs to him. For the time being, the director has just left it wide open. He will have plenty of time to think up a sequel, but he will surely be there.

Star-studded cast and characters in Jawan

Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as a father and son along with Nayanthara in her Bollywood debut, Vijay Sethupathi as the main antagonist, and Deepika Padukone in an extended cameo appearance. The film also stars Priya Mani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and others in pivotal roles.
