Jawan: Not just Shah Rukh Khan; Deepika Padukone doesn't charge a penny for her cameos for THESE people

Over her movie career of more than 15 years, Deepika Padukone has made several special appearances, and many have turned out to be quite memorable. In the last couple of years, she featured in three unforgettable cameos, including as Romi Dev in 83 the Current Laga Re song in Cirkus, and the latest being an extended special appearance in Jawan as Aishwarya. During a recent interaction, Deepika revealed that she doesn't charge a penny for her cameo appearances.

Selfless approach to cameos

The actor told The Week, "I wanted to be a part of 83 because I wanted it to be an ode to women who stand behind their husbands' glory. I watched my mother do it. It was my homage to wives who make sacrifices to support their husbands' careers. Other than that, for any special appearance for Shah Rukh Khan, I am there. Same with Rohit Shetty."

Record-breaking films with SRK

Talking about her frequent collaborations with SRK, including the recent ones, Pathaan and Jawan Deepika said that they are each other's lucky charms, but they are beyond luck now. She also said that she is one of the few people SRK lets down his guard around. DP thinks luck is just the icing on the cake because there is so much trust and respect between them.

This year's record-breaking films are Pathaan and Jawan and both feature SRK and Deepika. On being asked about having films that created box office records in her kitty, the actor stated that she has never been interested in numbers, whether they were for math class or for Pathaan. DP was just happy that people and movie theatres were coming back to life, and she really appreciated that.

Over the past 15 years, SRK and Deepika have worked in blockbuster films, namely Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Pathaan, and now Jawan.
