The director of Shah Rukh Khan starrer visited these theatres in Mumbai to gauge the film’s response
Much before the advent of the multiplexes and multiple screen theatres, there existed the theatres, which we today know as ‘single screen theatres’. Those were days when whistling and shouting to the favourite scene was something that one needs to see to believe it. But, with the advent of multiplexes and multiple screen theatres, the single screen theatres started diminishing in number. Despite the increasing competition from the multiplexes, there are a few single screen theatre owners who have not given into the competition around.
One such chain of theatres is Gaiety, Galaxy in Bandra. These theatres are visited by the quintessential ‘common man’. No wonder then, Atlee Kumar, the film director of the recently released Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ decided to go to Gaiety, Galaxy theatres in Bandra in order to gauge the reactions to his film. No sooner did the paparazzi present there spotted Atlee Kumar in his red coloured sweatshirt which was paired with black trousers, they rushed towards him and started clicking photographs. Atlee was patient enough to greet the paparazzi with a traditional folded hand and with an ever-welcoming smile. Seeing the tremendous response to ‘Jawan’ at Gaiety, Galaxy theatres in Bandra, one can easily say that film maker Atlee must have gone home with a smile on his face!
As for the film ‘Jawan’, besides Shah Rukh Khan, it also stars two of stellar talents from the south film industry in the form of Nayanthara (the film’s leading lady) and Vijay Sethupathi. Besides them, ‘Jawan’ also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Riddhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi in important roles. Amidst all this, there is Deepika Padukone who will be seen in a cameo in the film. Today being the film’s first day, it has definitely taken off to a flying start.
