Jawan Box Office collection: The Shah Rukh Khan starrer earns Rs. 240.47 crores in two days; highest for a Bollywood film!

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer film ‘Jawan’ has created a record of sorts by collecting a whopping Rs. 240.47 crores in just two days!

Before the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’, many of the cine goers were waiting with bated breath and were simply counting the days left for the film’s release. And at last, the film got released on 7 September. Seeing the film’s craze and the excitement amongst the fans, many of the trade analysts had predicted that the film would set the box office on fire. Turns out that the trade analysts were bang on with their prediction about the box office collection of ‘Jawan’.

The film, which was released on 7 September has now grossed a whopping Rs. 240.47 crores in just two days (Worldwide gross box-office collection)! This also means that, this box-office collection stands as the highest for a Bollywood film. Shah Rukh Khan’s manager Pooja Dadlani took to social media and shared the good news about the film’s box-office collection. She posted the film’s poster featuring Shah Rukh Khan. She captioned the post stating, “In just two days… a handsome 240.47 Cr!! #jawan”. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer surpassed the Rs. 100 crore figure on the first day itself of its release, which is definitely the biggest in the history of Hindi cinema!

Jawan versus Pathaan?

With ‘Jawan’ setting the box office afire with its collections, many are comparing the film’s collections with that of ‘Pathaan’, which again was a Shah Rukh Khan starrer. Looking back, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan's worldwide collection was Rs. 103 crore on the first day.

Jawan star cast

As for the film ‘Jawan’, besides Shah Rukh Khan, the film stars Nayanthara as the leading lady and also the southern superstar Vijay Sethupathi. Besides the trio of Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, ‘Jawan’ also stars Deepika Padukone (in a cameo), Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Riddhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureishi and others.  The film has been directed by the southern whizkid Atlee Kumar.
