Atlee's blockbuster film with Shah Rukh Khan is set to enter Rs 400 crore club in India today.
Jawan, directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan, is succeeding at the box office both domestically and internationally. The box office take for Jawan after a record-breaking week in theaters is nearing Rs 400 crore in India.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, on Thursday—the eight day since its release—the movie made a net addition of Rs 19.50 crore in India. As its first week of release comes to a end, Jawan is on track to surpass the Rs 400 crore gross mark today.
The total collection of the film after Day 8 numbers therefore is 388.72 crore, bringing the movie that much closer to the wonderful milestone of 400 crore.
The biggest-ever opening for a Hindi film was achieved by Jawan, which made Rs 75 crore nett in India on Thursday, September 7, during the Janmashtami holiday. On day three, when it made Rs 80 crore throughout India breaking multiple records. Additionally, Jawan achieved the distinction of grossing more than Rs 100 crore globally in just the first three days of release.
