Jawan did and did not beat Gadar 2 in some sense
It looks like Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is out to set another record. The movie will most likely beat Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 record on day five. Currently crossing over Rs. 200 crores, Jawan is likely to enter Rs. 300 crore club on day five of its release. The movie will beat Gadar 2 by doing so.
How will Jawan beat Gadar 2?
According to Sacnilk, Jawan will earn above Rs. 300 crores on day five itself. Pathaan crossed that mark after a week of its release. Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 earned slightly more than Rs. 300 crores on day eight, to be precise.
So, how much will it earn on first Monday?
The movie is expected to earn Rs. 30 crores on its first Monday. The Box Office is impacted owing to the India vs Pakistan match. If Jawan mints only Rs. 30 crores, then the movie will not be beating Gadar 2’s first Monday collections. Sunny’s film had earned Rs. 38.7 crores on day five of its release.
What will the final Jawan collections be and can it beat Pathaan?
On day five, Jawan’s collections are likely to be around Rs. 316.56 crores. The movie will not immediately but eventually cross Pathaan’s lifetime Box Office if it maintains its current hold. The film from the YRF Spy Universe had earned Rs. 525 crores. In fact, there are speculations that Jawan could even cross Rs. 1000 crores at the Box Office. The record is currently held by SS Rajamouli and his films Baahubali 2 and RRR. With Jawan, the record will go to Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee.
After Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan will be entertaining his fans one more time in 2023. He will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s movie, Dunki. Co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Dunki is the first film where SRK and Hirani collaborate. The filmmaker is often known to associate with Aamir Khan but Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood is currently prioritizing other things in life. Thus, SRK and Hirani have collaborated on the movie which many tout to be an extension of the Munna Bhai franchise. The film will release in December.
