Priya Mani very rarely divulges information about the projects that she is a part of. Even though her casting in Atlee’s Jawan was speculated for the longest time, she did not confirm or deny the reports, until the trailer announcement, which she shared on social announcement. Of course, once the trailer came out, it became clear that she has a prominent role in the Shah Rukh Khan-led film that’s releasing on September 7. Despite that, all our efforts to get her to tell us more has been met with a “not yet” response.
Priya’s first with Jeethu Joseph
The actress has now “announced” her new upcoming project , by sharing details of its title launch tomorrow. Priya posted the title reveal announcement poster of Drishyam maker Jeethu Joseph’s latest collaboration with Mohanlal, the shoot of which is expected to begin this month. When we checked in with Priya, she said that the fact that she’s posted about the film is confirmation that she is a part of the cast. But beyond that, as usual, she refrained from sharing any more information. “I can’t give out details yet; it’s too early to talk about this film. Also, once we start shooting, I will be in a better position to share details,” said Priya.
Is it Drishyam 3?
What we do know is that this as-yet-untitled film is not Drishyam 3 ; instead it is supposedly a courtroom drama that Jeethu has co-written with Santi Mayadevi, who played a lawyer in Drishyam 2. Santi is a lawyer by profession, who has taken to acting. She will be seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vijay-starrer Leo.

In a good place
Priya Mani’s next big release is, no doubt, Jawan, but she has a couple of other projects also lined up, including Quotation Gang, which is now called QG, Maidaan, an untitled film with Sangeeth Sivan, which is complete, and now this project with Jeethu.
