Mona Singh, who is known for her impeccable acting prowess made her acting debut in 2003 with the Television show 'Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin'. She instantly gained fame for her character of Jasmeet Jassi Walia and her performance was appreciated by all. The show started airing in 2003 and went on for three years till 2006. Today, as the show completed 21 years, Mona shared a special post on Instagram. If you missed watching this wonderful show upon its release, you can revisit the film on an OTT platform.

Directed by Tony Singh and Deeya Singh, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin started streaming on 1 September 2003 and the final episode aired on 4 May 2006. If you missed watching it then, the show is now available for streaming on SonyLIV.

The narrative of the show revolves around Jameet Jassi Walia aka Jassi, an average-looking girl who lands up a job with a leading fashion agency headed by Armaan Suri, played by Apurva Agnihotri. She faces several challenges at her workplace for her looks despite the fact that she is a brilliant employee. Her life changes when she goes through a massive makeover.

Today, as Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin completed 21 years, Gaurav Gera, who played an important character in the show shared a post celebrating the milestone. Mona re-shared his story on her Instagram account. Take a look at her story below:

In one of the old interviews, Mona Singh talked about how she was under strict contracts while filming the show and was not allowed to reveal her face in public. While speaking to Mirchi Plus, Singh revealed, “I was not allowed to do waxing, no threading, no eyebrows, and they would stick more hair on my face. I was not allowed to bleach my face. These were the too many restrictions that I was asked to follow to match up to Jassi.”
