Brett Goldstein spoke at length about the fate of the hit Apple TV+ series.
In a recent interview, British actor Brett Goldstein announced that the next third season of Ted Lasso which is now in production, will be the show's final season.
When asked about season three by a British news station, Goldstein stated, according to Deadline, that's how they are writing it. It was supposed to be three. Everyone dies, so be warned.
Goldstein, on the other hand, did not explicitly state that it is not the end that creates an opportunity, even if it is not for a fourth season. According to Deadline, UK shows are also notorious for releasing one-off Christmas specials.
At the ATX TV Festival on Sunday, executive producer Bill Lawrence confirmed to the publication that he will leave the decision about when the series, which is now in production in the UK, will wrap to star Jason Sudeikis and the producers.
Goldstein revealed to the publication that the show's best element is when people try to improve themselves; that's a rare occurrence. On social media, they have a dreadful public debate. People are now expected to be cruel to one another. Their show shouldn't be as enjoyable as it is; it tells more about the world into which it was introduced. He has got a lot more anecdotes about folks who are nice than he does about people who are a pain in the neck.
According to Deadline, he also stated that Jason Sudeikis' character Ted represents their best selves, and he strives to bring forth their greatest selves.
It's based on a character of the same name played by Sudeikis in a series of ads for NBC Sports' Premier League broadcast. The series follows Ted Lasso, an American college football coach who is hired to coach an English soccer team in order to resent her ex-husband by the team's owner. While dealing with his lack of experience in the sport, Lasso seeks to win over the cautious English market with his folksy, positive manner.
