Aquaman actor Jason Momoa has confirmed that he will appear as a villain in the upcoming Fast & Furious 10.
At the premiere of The Batman starring his step-daughter Zoe Kravitz, Momoa told Entertainment Weekly: "I'm gonna do Fast 10, that's gonna be fun. It's fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven't gotten to do for a while. Now, I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy. A little panache!"
For Momoa, it's a role that is unlike the heroic ones he has played in recent times in Aquaman, Dune, Justice League and Apple TV+ series like See.
The actor will join Fast & Furious franchise regulars Vin Diesel, Sung Kang, Chris Ludacris' Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel and Michelle Rodriguez. Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson and John Cena will not be returning in this feature.
Tentatively titled Fast 10 the film will be the last in the franchise and will be split into two parts. Justin Lin, who returned to the franchise with 2021's F9: The Fast Saga will direct. He has previously helmed five Fast & Furious films including The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Collider writes that production on the 10th film will begin this spring.
Chris Morgan is returning to pen the script. Diesel will produce along with Lin.
Meanwhile, Momoa will reprise his role as Aquaman in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom a sequel to his 2018 hit. Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II are also part of the cast.
