Khushi Kapoor will make her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming directorial, The Archies.
Janhvi Kapoor has never shied away from voicing how protective she is of her little sister Khushi. The latter is following in the steps of her mother Sridevi and big sister Jahnvi, gearing up for her Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming directorial, The Archies. Janhvi recently opened up about the advice she gave Khushi for the latter’s film debut.
In conversation with ETimes, Janhvi said she had advised Khushi to keep her head down and keep working as honestly as she could. The Good Luck Jerry actress said that she told Khushi that criticism was inevitable, as people would try to fault her no matter the outcome.
Janhvi had told Khsuhi to do everything with clear intent, as that was the only way to make sure that criticism did not bring her down. Janhvi also said that she told Khushi “Don’t do it for any reason other than the fact that you love it”.
On how passionate Khushi is about acting, Janhvi said that although the former was passionate, she wasn't as ‘mad’ as Janhvi was about it. In an earlier interview with the portal, Janhvi also spoke about the tips she had given to Khushi about her social media presence as well. Janhvi said she felt that ultimately what mattered was the kind of films Khushi did, as movies were the most important ways to get through to audiences. Janhvi said that her ‘Instagram personality’ was a far cry from the characters she played in films, and she knew it might throw people off at times. She added that she would not want Khushi to pay attention to social media as much and ‘cater to an image’.
Janhvi was last seen in the Disney+Hotstar film Good Luck Jerry. Her upcoming releases include Bawaal, Mili, and Mr and Mrs Mahi.
