Janhvi Kapoor to make her South debut with Jr NTR and Buchi Babu’s project?

Uppena director Buchi Babu is gearing up for his next with Jr NTR on board. If the reports are to be believed, Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has been roped in as the female lead, marking her debut in the south Indian film industry. The news has already taken the internet by storm.

Reports also suggest that the movie will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, who are doing their best to bring Janhvi to the sets. Director finds Janhvi perfect for the role, and hence, the makers are all in for bringing her as well. However, an official confirmation regarding the actress’ debut is yet to be out.

It is interesting to note that rumours regarding Janhvi starring opposite Jr NTR were spread earlier too. Many reports suggested her Tollywood debut with Trvikiram Srinivas’ film NTR30 and Puri Jagannadh’s Jana Gana Mana as well.

Meanwhile, Janhvi has earlier revealed to Film Companion that she has been speaking to a couple of south filmmakers. She also added that she had not found anything that has caught her breath yet.

Janhvi made her acting debut with the 2018 romantic drama Dhadak, which was a success. She went on and starred in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, in which she played a bold real-life character. She also appeared in Netflix’s Ghost Stories in 2020 and Roohi with Rajkummar Rao. She will also be seen in Dostana 2, which is currently in production. Janhvi will also play the titular role in Mili, which is the Bollywood remake of the hit Malayalam film Helen.

The actress’ South debut is most awaited by the filmmakers and fans. Audiences are expecting her to soon speak about the same as the rumours spread far and wide.
