The film, which features Jayaraj Kozhikode and Leela Samson in the lead roles, follows the lives of an elderly couple whose unusual companionship illuminates our perception of companionship—that is, that finding love is only for youngsters.
Following its June 1st television premiere on Asianet, the film garnered positive feedback from viewers. Those who were unable to see it were eager to watch it on digital platforms.
The trailer of the film, which was directed by Abijith shows Jayaraj, an elderly farmer who works at a retirement home, and Leela Samson, a schoolteacher who lives there. The townspeople are shocked when they decide to pursue a cohabitation relationship as a result for their early encounters.
They appear to be a significant member of the group of elderly people who are alienated in our society, despite the fact that the teaser did not provide much information about their past. They may be drawn to each other for comfort because of their alienation from one another. All things considered, the movie aims to emphasise the value of spending time with loved ones and the idea that ageing is a stage of life that should be lived happily and appreciated by the community.
Interestingly, Kozhikode Jayaraj, a junior artist in the Malayalam industry for more than half a century, is making his debut in Jananam 1947 Pranayam Thudarunnu. Deepak Parambol, Anu Sithara, Nobi Marakkar, Pauly Valsan, Nandan Unni, Ambi Neenasam, Irshad Ali, and Sajith Parayil play supporting roles in the movie. Govind Vasantha composed the music for the emotional drama.
