Jana Gana Mana: Mamta Mohandas, Sri Divya, Shari, Vincy Aloshious take centre stage in new poster

The film, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu, will be released in April

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu are teaming up once again for their latest project, Jana Gana Mana. The makers unveiled a new poster for the upcoming film today, where the female leads take the spotlight.

The poster, which can be viewed on Prithviraj’s official social media handles, features Mamta Mohandas, Sri Divya, Shari and Vincy Aloshious. With intense expressions on their faces, the actresses can be seen against a background of newspaper clippings that seem to depict images of protests and groups of police officers.

A promo for the upcoming film was released almost a year ago, where Suraj is seen essaying the role of a police officer and interrogating Prithviraj’s character.

Dijo Jose Antony has directed Jana Gana Mana from a script penned by Sharis Mohammed. The duo previously collaborated together on the 2018 film Queen, which starred Saniya Iyappan and Dhruvan. The latter also plays a pivotal role in Jana Gana Mana.

Shammi Thilakan, Raja Krishnamoorthy, Pasupathi, Azhagam Perumal, Ilavarasu, Vinod Sagar, and Vijayakumar also feature in the film. The upcoming film, touted to be a thriller, is produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen. The film went on floors in 2020.

The film marks the latest collaboration between Prithviraj and Suraj after the 2019 film, Driving Licence, which was directed by Lal Jr. A Bollywood remake of Driving Licence is currently in production. Titled Selfiee, the film sees Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi essaying the roles of Prithviraj and Suraj respectively.

Meanwhile, Jana Gana Mana will be released in theatres on April 28, 2022.
