Jalsa: Vidya Balan says she was surprised to see how fun Shefali Shah is as a person

The Amazon Prime original movie is set to release on March 18.

Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah starrer Jalsa is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video. The Bollywood actresses will be seen in completely different avatars in the film. The netizens have also praised both the actress in the promos and the official trailer and have been waiting eagerly to watch the movie.

Vidya and Shefali talked about their upcoming outing and their experiences of working together with ETimes. Talking about a quality that Shefali admires about her co-star, the actress mentioned that she admires the fact that Vidya is grounded and yet so confident in her own space. She further said that the Kahaani actress is comfortable and confident about who she is, without any arrogance or self-doubt and wished that she had the same. "She’s changing me every day, bit by bit," the Human actress added.

Meanwhile, speaking about Shefali, Vidya mentioned, "It happens to all of us, when we mistake the actor for the characters, he or she has played. I was surprised to see how fun she was as a person."

The trailer of Jalsa was released last week and showcased Vidya as a leading journalist of a news channel, who is trying to reach the truth behind a brutal incident. Shefali, on the other, portrays the character of house help, who knows the reality behind a crime but decides to keep mum.
