Vidya Balan is getting ready for the release of Jalsa the Amazon Prime Video film co-starring Shefali Shah. The actor has now opened up about why she does not want to work with her husband and producer, Siddharth Roy Kapur.
Talking in an interview with Film Companion, the actor said that she and her husband decided not to work together after their 2013 film Ghanchakkar which did not do well. She reveals that she decided after the movie that one of them has to be the pillar when the other is going through a low.

The actor also expressed that she does not want people to reduce her achievements by saying that they came due to her husband.
Vidya Balan will be seen with Shefali Shah in the Amazon Prime Video drama Jalsa.
“Vidya and I both admire and love each other tremendously. I just really admire and respect her. I feed off my co-stars all the time because they're so good, they become richer and better. Right from the time we've met, occasionally at parties or whatever, I think there's been a mutual admiration for each other and respect,” Shefali Shah said about her co-star in an interview with OTTPlay.
Jalsa directed by Suresh Triveni, releases on March 18.
