Jailer is Rajinikanth's latest release which has become a blockbuster hit at the box office. Nelson directed this film which showcased Rajinikanth in a mature role and impressed the fans bug time. The film has grossed over Rs 200 crores in Tamil but the Telugu version has shocked one and all with its collections in Telugu states even beating the Chiranjeevi film, Bholaa Shankar.

Bholaa Shankar had a massive star cast with Chiranjeevi, Keerthy Suresh, and Tamannah playing lead roles. The film's promotions were done on a decent level and Chiranjeevi's digs at the AP government worked in the favor of the film's buzz. Bholaa Shankar opened on a massive note on August 11, 2023, but sadly, the film started with negative talk and disappointed one and all.

This gave Rajini's Jailer a massive advantage in Telugu states. Jailer had zero promotions in Telugu but still opened to a decent talk. But the moment Bholaa Shankar started with a flop talk, the focus shifted towards Jailer and its occupancy grew multiple times on the second day.

The collections of Jailer on days two and three have been better than on day one. The latest trade update reveals that Jailer has made Rs 18 crores share in Telugu states in its first weekend. These numbers are shocking and high for a Rajini film in the last two years or so.
