The Nelson DIlipkumar directorial is releasing worldwide on August 10
Rajinikanth in Jailer
Rajinikanth's Jailer, which features a bevy of actors, will hit screens on August 10. The movie directed by Nelson Dilipkumar is touted as one of the biggest Tamil projects this year. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, it has Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Sunil, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan and among others essaying key roles in it.
Anirudh's music composition and Stun Siva's action choreography are expected to be highlights of the film which is billed as the comeback of both Rajini and Nelson. The duo's last outings, Annaatthe and Beast, respectively, failed to meet expectations of the audience.
There were reports earlier that the movie's audio launch will be held in Malaysia. Rajini's Enthiran had its audio event in the country in 2010. However, close sources inform that Jailer's much-awaited event will be happening at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
Vijay's Varisu, Silambarasan's Pathu Thala and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2 were other Tamil movies which had their audio launches at the venue this year. It is heard that the event for Jailer will happen in July. An announcement on the same is expected to be made soon. The first major update from the movie was unveiled earlier this month in the form of a promo video.
The most-expected first single from the film will be unveiled in June. The singles from Rajini's Petta and Darbar which had compositions by Anirudh were instant chartbusters. Fans of Thalaivar are expecting nothing less than a pulsating song this time, too.
The composer has been roped in to score music for Thalaivar 170 (tentative title) as well. It has Jai Bhim fame TJ Gnanavel at its helm.
