Jailer star Rajinikanth breaks silence on why he fell at UP CM Yogi Adiyanath's feet
Ever since Superstar Rajinikanth fell at the feet of UP CM Yogi Adiyanath's feet, the actor has been being brutally trolled by many. His gesture has left many of his diehard fans upset. One of the prime reasons is that Yogi Adiyanath is 20 years younger than him. Secondly, Yogi is the face of hardline Hindutva and is a highly controversial figure in the Indian political circuit. And thirdly, because Rajinikanth played a socially conscious Dalit man, who is strictly against people falling at someone's feet in his film Kaala and went on to do just the opposite in real life.
The actor recently explained why he bowed down at the feet of Yogi. "Be it a yogi or sanyasi, it's my practice to fall on their feet to seek blessing, even if they are younger to me."
Rajinikanth thanked the audience from across the world for making "Jailer a super hit." I want to thank the people of Tamil Nadu and the rest of the world for making Jailer a huge success. I thank Nelson for enjoying and making every frame and scene in the film. I also appreciate Anirudh for the extraordinary songs and BGM in Jailer."
